Ivan Kolenko
I first came across information science technology in 1976 and between 1981-1989 was working as a programmer and a system programmer. I started introducing computer micro software in production and administration in 1987. At the same time I began different internal courses in connection with the usage of computer for practical purposes. Therefore I began practical courses for Ashton Tate Framework and Lotus software. I wrote several handbooks for the courses and in 1991 my book entitled FRED was published at Academic Publishing Company in Ljubljana.
I became a lecturer at High School of Commerce and Business in Celje and worked as a teacher of Computer Science. I have been succesfully coordinating national programme RO and our school has been an active member of it since 1993. In autumn 1995 I took part at setting up school own WEB server which was one of the first school servers within Celje region.
In 1997 the first Intronet Cyber Surfing Point was set up together with me and my students, members of our school computer club. The "Intronet" Point was intended for public and was established on the instigation of Institution of Education - programme RO in Ljubljana. Later such Cyber Surfing Points emerged in schools all over Slovenie and in January 1998 the second Intronet Cyber Surfing Point was opened here at our school. In my school I have many activities with our servers. At the moment we have 5 servers (NT and Unix) connected in network with 130 computers.

In the summer of 1999 I started to cooperate as a supervisor within Institution of Education in Ljubljana on setting up school network system. So far I have supervised complete work of school network system on 45 schools. Within this program 380 schools was completed with school network and connected to our academic network maintained by Arnes.
Besides the above mentioned I am actively involved in teaching at internet and computer network seminars, such as School for Headmasters in Radovljica. My favorite research area is also usage PDA's (Palmtop) in the education process and wireless network. I wrote few articles and one of them will be present in the 7th The International Educational Conference on Computers in Slovenia - MIRK 2002.

In january 2001 I won the prize with project for mobile classroom which I wrote for the 3Com Planet Project Learning Solution Award.
and I participated in eSchola with project "Using Palmtops in the education process" and as a  member of coordinating  team of Slovenian Educational Network.
